FAQ - FEQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1.I have some items that might be interesting to display at the 100+4 Anniversary. What should I do?

Are you willing to part with your items permanently? Email memorabilia@pcss100.com to make arrangements. If not, perhaps you can take a photo of your item and send it to us for posting. The same would apply if you have photos from your time at PCSS. Make a copy and send them to the attention of: PCSS 100th Anniversary Committee 70 MIneola Rd. E. Mississauga L5G 2E5.

2. Will I be able to find out who else is coming on May 4th?

3. Can I donate money to the school in advance?

Absolutely! Please see our $104 for 104 years donation section. CLICK TO SEE DONATION DETAILS

4. I bought a ticket in advance but I just found out I can’t go. Can I get a refund?

Unfortunately, there are no refunds for this event.

5. Will there be a bar at the event?

Yes! The bar will be open beginning at 7pm. Please note that Children and youth 18 and under will not be permitted in the bar area. Be sure to have proper ID.

6. I would like to bring my children to the daytime events. Are children welcome?

We would love to meet your children and would also encourage current students to visit on May 4. Children and students 18 years of age receive free entry and are welcome to visit between 2 and 7 pm. Face painting and supervised activities will be available for younger children aged 4 and up.

7. I wasn’t able to buy a ticket in advance. Will you be selling tickets at the door?

Yes. Tickets will be available at the door for $40. All proceeds from our door sales will be put towards the Alumni Scholarship Fund and school needs.

8. Will you be selling PCSS memorabilia on May 2nd?

Yes, if we have extra memorabilia, they will be available for sale.

9. Once I arrive at the school, how will I know if my friends are there?

We intend to have an area where everyone can sign in by decade. You can look for your friends’ names there. In addition an Attendee List will be provided so you can look up who is coming.

10. Will my former teachers be there?

We hope so! Staff have been invited and we will encourage them to sign in too.

11. Can my kids come to Pub Night?

Unfortunately, Pub Night is for adults aged 19 years of age and older.

12. Do you need volunteers on May 4th?

We can always use an extra set of hands. Please send an email to pcss100anniversary@pcss100.com and let us know your availability.

13. Who will be performing in the Talent Showcase?

The Talent Showcase runs from 7 pm to 11 pm. Please see our Talent Showcase section of the website as this will be updated as new talent signs on. CLICK TO SEE TALENT LIST

14. Will food be available throughout the day?

We will be opening our Courtyard Cafe BBQ at 2pm! Food and drink tickets can be purchased in the cafeteria. More details to come.

15. Are you looking for sponsors for your event? I would love to help.

16. Who can participate in the Talent Showcase?

Anyone who was connected to PCSS over the last 100 years can participate. Please contact Terry Hamm at talent@pcss100.com if you are interested. Spots are filling up fast! Click on TALENT MENU ABOVE to see alumni playing in the Talent Showcase.

17. Do you have to have been a teacher to attend the staff reception?

We welcome all former and current teachers AND staff to the reception.

18. Will the BBQ accommodate those who are gluten free or Vegan?

At this time, we cannot guarantee that we will have options to meet your needs. Please check in with us closer the date and we will be able to provide you with more information.

19. Are current students invited to attend the anniversary celebrations?

The anniversary wouldn’t be complete without the involvement and support of our current students. They are more than welcome and they can attend for free!

20. What forms of payment will be available at the event?

This will be a CASHLESS EVENT
